Nigeria could rise further up in the medal standings tonight when Blessing Okagbare takes to the tracks in the 200m semi final tonight with compatriot.
The African track queen runs in the Heat 2 while 24 year-old Texas bred Dominique Duncan races in the heat 2 at the Hampden Park Stadium.
Okagbare has already won Gold in the Women 100m with a games record of 10.85 seconds.
En-route the final, she won the Heat 1 of the First round in the 200m with a time of 22.99 seconds; Duncan qualified by virtue of her 23.89, 3rd place finish in her Heat.
The semi-finals take off from 18:00 GMT
