Nigeria's friendly match against Scotland which will hold tomorrow is under serious investigation over claims of attempted match -fixing. Bids to rig the game were received by the National Crime Agency who have been in talks with FIFA and the Scottish Football
Association (SFA).
There are claims the Asian betting market is involved in this but it is not certain whether the attempted scam involves spot fixing or match outcome , Dailymail reports.
Other matches that have also been under serious investigation over claims of attempted match -fixing include USA vs Azerbaijan in San Francisco, South Korea vs Tunisia in Seoul, Denmark vs Sweden in Copenhagen and Mexico vs Israel in Mexico City.
But the good news is that no players , Nigerian or Scottish is being involved in tomorrow's potential scam. The Gambling Commission have already alerted UK betting operators to be vigilant over irregular betting patterns in four friendly matches taking place tomorrow night.
The Nigeria vs Scotland friendly match will hold tomorrow Wednesday in Fulham's ground in London . Please also note that the match will be aired live on AIT from 7 :30 pm to 9 :30 pm .
