It may not be possible to rewrite the facts of what one experienced and went through. But it is possible to rewrite the way one perceives it and handle it from the current state onward. The fact remains that; one can redesign his or her life. Though, it may seem impossible physically, but mentally, it is very possible.
Seasoned Nollywood actress, Laide Bakare, is not weighed down by the emotional pain from stories flying around recently about her home. She is into new experiences, moving on and grasping the moment squarely and moving ahead. Continue after the cut.
Contrary to the rumour of being under fear, on Sunday, 27th of April, 2014, Laide stepped out boldly with other dignitaries for the book launch and anniversary of a top member of the movie Industry, Yinka Quadri, which held in Lagos.
She was spotted chatting freely with her colleagues before she stormed the stage to appreciate an Islamic singer, Ahmed Alawiye, with a few Naira notes.
Recall, there were stories about two weeks back regarding a business gone sour between her husband and a telecoms giant, MTN, which, rightly or wrongly, necessitated him being declared wanted by the EFCC.
But for beautiful Laide, that experience will remain history; the EFCC blackmail will not be allowed to haunt both her life and dreams. She has refused to be stuck in the past.
