musician, Majek Fashek (Majekodunmi Fasheke) made some shocking
confessions about his travails recently. The superstar artiste who is
now hooked on drugs and alcohol revealed that Nigeria journalists are
bent on destroying him by writing lies and falsehoods about him in the
newspapers and magazines all the time.
The musician who has a Yoruba father and
Edo mother denied ever going on the street to beg for money to take
care of himself. He said he has 100,000 dollars in a bank in America and
Cossy bungalow in Ogba, Lagos. He added that he is a millionaire and
father of four grown up boys who are doing well in America.
He confessed that he drinks apeteshi (local gin) and he uses it to consult the Holy Spirit as a Rasta man and prisoner of conscience.
Be that as it may, his ex-wife and
mother of his children who came to Nigeria from USA recently confirmed
that the musician is addicted to drugs and alcohol and he needs help
badly to stay alive. She said she had divorced him about three months
ago to move on with her life.
