Two brothers, Musibau Raji, 32 and Kamal Raji, 30, was on Friday arraigned before an Osogbo Chief Magistrates' Court for allegedly manufacturing firearms and dealing in arms and ammunition
Inspector Sunday Akingbade, the police prosecutor told the court that the accused were arrested on May 20 at about 5 p.m. at Ita-Olokan area of Osogbo.
The prosecutor said that the accused conspired to commit felony, as they manufactured and deal in firearms and ammunition.
He said the defendants were caught with locally made barrel guns, adding that the offence contravened sections 516 and 22, and punishable under Section 27(b) (IV) of the Criminal Code Cap 34 Vol.11 Laws of Osun 2003.
The defendants pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Counsel to the accussed, Mr Onifade Bukola, applied for their bail which chief magistrate, Mr Olusola Aluko, granted in the sum of N50, 000 each and two sureties each in like sum.
Aluko ordered that the sureties must be resident within the court's jurisdiction, swear to affidavit of means and provide two passport photographs to the court.
The chief magistrate adjourned the case to July 22 for mention
