Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari has today terminated the appointment of Mr. Patrick Ziakede Akpobolokemi as the Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency.
The sacking was made known by the Special Adviser to the President
on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina in a statement to reporters.
The reasoning for the decision was not released to pressmen.
He however said that Akpobolokemi is expected to handover the management of the agency and government property under his watch to the most senior officer in the agency who will remain in charge until a new Director-General is appointed.
