Oliseh Will Work From Europe – NFF Confirms

Sunday-Oliseh-Naijaurban

Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh has returned to Europe and will remain there to monitor Nigerian players, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have  confirmed.

This development will come as a surprise to many Nigerians as recent Super Eagles coaches have all been based in Nigeria, but Executive Board Member and Chairman of the NFF Technical Committee, Felix Anyansi-Agwu has confirmed that Oliseh will monitor the activities of Nigerian players from his base in Europe.

He (Oliseh) has gone back but temporarily,” Anyansi-Agwu said in a radio interview. He hasn’t gone finally because you know we have a game against Tanzania very soon and most of our players are in Europe. So he has gone to make adequate arrangements and also to monitor the progress of these players because the European leagues have not started because most of them are on training tours. “So he has gone there to make arrangements and work and the Nigeria Football Federation is one hundred percent aware of his activities and movements so we should give him time to settle down,” Anyansi-Agwu posted.

Meanwhile, Oliseh is expected to hold talks with Liverpool forward Jordon Ibe with the view of having the 19-year old represent Nigeria.
