Best and Worst Dresses at The BET Awards.

Oh what a night!
The 2015 BET Awards are in full motion but we're, well, still stuck on that red carpet. Turns out that our favorite style stars tonight all had one thing in common: Simplicity. Like Ciara, who crushed the carpet in a plunging, Swarovski crystal-embellished Wes Gordon confection featuring a sexy thigh-high slit.

Gabrielle Union's glimmering Halston Heritage gown was head turn-worthy without being over the top, which could also be said for tonight's co-host Tracee Ellis Ross. She wowed in a form-fitting white midi (all-white was a major trend tonight, FYI—and Tracee wore it best).
Janelle MonĂ¡e, meanwhile, replicated her epic 2015 Met Gala cape moment in a dramatic black-and-purple Safiyaa London ensemble replete with floor-sweeping cape and gold collar necklace. Finally, we couldn't take our eyes off of Laverne Cox, who stunned in a navy Dmitry Sholokhov tuxedo jumpsuit.

Now for the less than chic: We were torn on Kelly Rowland's black swan-evoking frock, but ultimately thought the floor-length sleeves overwhelmed her figure. And while we liked the retro effect of Andra Day's polka-dot midi, the ruched black belt that came along with the look, well, eclipsed it.
OK, hear us out: The bright, eye-catching print of Naturi Naughton's dress wasn't quite the problem—it was the gown's stiff mermaid silhouette that seemed off.
V. Lynn's all-black look fell somewhat flat (plus competed too heavily with blinding white pumps). And Angela Simmons' mini, while super-sexy, read a little bland on the red carpet.
