Former Nigerian international Danny
Shittu is thought to be strong, some have even suggested that he should
not be playing football, but rugby.
Well, Chelsea played a pre-season game on Saturday with Championship side AFC Wimbledon; the blues were two goals down until the second half before levelling at 2-2 and then subsequently winning the game 3-2.
Had
he remained in the game, and not substituted by the Wimbledon coach,
maybe Mourinho would have been lashing his boys for losing to a little
known club.
Nigerian born Wimbledon AFC striker Adebayo Saheed Akinfenwa tormented the Chelsea defense including John Terry that the whole pack dared not overrun their positions.
Though he did not score, Akinfenwa who weighs 86 kg, stood like a monster in the Chelsea defense.
This 5ft 11in 32 year-old benchpresses a 180kg iron, twice his weight making him the strongest football recorded.
With
his size, he still poses a threat for any defense, infact, while he
remained on the pitch, Chelsea were still 2-0 down. It was after his 66
minute change that Chelsea took the lead.
His weight and fierceness have earned him the ‘strongest’ footballer record but not the most paid.
His club records; do not show any big team, he is rather, a second division product.
