“Table Manners" is an aspect of everyday living that a lot of people take for granted yet it is very important.
I'm forced to
finally do this post after someone’s recent experience with a few
friends during eating.she says it was horrible and she forgot to eat and
was just staring at the others eat, each one with a ‘cutlery
problem’…lol
Using ones eating fork to take some more food from the main dish instead of the serving spoon.?
Talking while chewing or when one still has food in their mouth and having particles fly out?.
Using spoon and
fork instead of fork and knife…..ok in some special cases it is allowed
to use spoon and fork when eating e.g spaghetti dish?
What about those who do not know where to place a table napkin? it is supposed to be spread on the laps right?
Proper way to use tooth pick?some people do not even know that they should use one hand to cover their mouth whilst at it.
Drinking water from the bottle at the dining table with strangers in public.?
Taking a mobile phone to the Dining table and answering it when it rings is wrong/right?
A female bank
executive from Nigeria visited Germany and was at a restaurant and
ordered for spaghetti and it took the restaurant staff to bring some
order to her eating…she was eating with a knife and firm and could not
curl the spaghetti round her fork…then she decided to cut it with the
knife and in the process half of the spaghetti landed on her laps.
It was so obvious she didn’t know how to use her cutlery.
Lets discuss
‘table manners’ and I am sure a lot of use will learn a thing or two
from this post on what to do and what not to do.
I know google is our friend but google isn’t there when people struggle with their cutlery.lol
If you have any funny tale of cutlery mis.use, please yarn us.
