                           The Actors guild of Nigeria president,Ibinabo Fiberesima have announced the burial arrangement of actor Muna Obiekwe who past on forth night ago.according to her,Candle night will hold on February 1st.the guild will be Meeting at Marsha, Roundabout, Surulere by 4pm.

                                There will be Procession from there to Ojez stadium.their dress code will  be white(Tshirts to be provided at the venue)His burial will be on 3rd February at Umudioka in Anambra state.more details to come

Meet The 1st Female Bishop (Photo)

                          The Church of England will consecrate its first female bishop during a ceremony at York Minster later today. The Reverend Libby Lane, 48, will be ordained as the new Bishop of Stockport, in what she says will be a "profound and remarkable moment".

                         The Church formally adopted legislation last November to allow women bishops. The move, which ends a centuries-old tradition of exclusively male bishops, has however continued to prompt divisions between some Anglicans.

The two-hour service expected to be attended by more than 1,000 people, will be led by the Archbishop of York, Dr John Sentamu, during which he and other bishops will lay their hands on Mrs Lane and pray.

INEC Rejects Governorship Nominations of Seven Parties

 

               The Independent National Electoral Commission has rejected the governorship nominations of seven political parties.
               The rejection which affected several states of the federation, according to INEC, was as a result of the parties’ inability to nominate running mates.

Economist Cautions FG on World Bank, IMF advice

 

                        Mr. Okechukwu Unegbu, an economist, has advised the Federal Government against ‘blindly’ accepting all the prescriptions of international monetary institutions in the quest to reposition the nation’s economy.
                        According to Unegbu, the nation’s economic managers should rely more on its economic environment in fashioning out economic policies and programmes.
He said that experience had shown that some economic recipe from IMF and the Word Bank had not yielded the desired results, particularly in developing countries.
