An American doctor who contracted Ebola virus while working in Liberia is showing slight signs of improvement, according to reports.

Dr Kent Brantly remains in a serious condition while he undergoes intensive treatment at an isolation centre, the Samaritan’s Purse charity reports.

A first class graduate and two final year students of the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) are among suspects arrested for internet fraud by the The Police Special Fraud Unit (PSFU), in Lagos.

The suspects are part of six members of a syndicate which defrauds people using specially designing multinational organisations' websites.

According to sources, the head pastor of the House On The Rock Church, Paul Adefarasin has prohibited female members from wearing miniskirts in the church.
The information was passed by Pastor Adefarasin on Sunday before he began preaching.
He said , “I will assume that the members that do this , are probably new or uninformed ones.”
“But we don’t allow mini skirts in this church. If you must wear something short, make sure it covers your knees. Otherwise, an usher might need to come and complete your dressing,” he continued.

'He Was Cutting Off Her Breast':Man Arrested After Killing Girlfriend 'For Rituals' In Lagos

The police in Lagos have arrested a young man after he was accused of brutally murdering his girlfriend.
28-year-old Raphael Effiong is said to have committed the offence inside a hotel in the Ketu area of the state. Effiong is said to have cut off 26-year-old Gift Sunday's breast and one of her fingers with a pair of scissors.
Staff of the hotel reportedly heard the deceased screaming and they rushed into the room to find her in a pool of blood. Sunday was taken to a hospital in the area but she succumbed to her injuries and died.
The family members of the deceased have alleged that Effiong wanted to sue their daughter's body parts for rituals. One of them said:

I have gotten pictures from the bombing carried out by a female suicide bomber today at the Kano state polytechnic. A bomb also went off at the Aminu kano school of islamic and legal studies.

On Tuesday July 29, a man was found dead head down inside a well at Akanyn street, Shibiri Rd, Ilemba in Ojo, Ajangbadi, Lagos. Many residents of the house had fetched water from the well and even made use of the water before someone discovered there was a corpse inside it.

Eventually, he was pulled from the well, and wss recognized as a carpenter whose wife left home recrntly. Some people claimed to have seen him the previous day, very drunk. No one knew how he fell into the well. Continue inside....

A man identified as Oruma has been arrested by the police for allegedly stabbing his 20-year-old friend in the neck with a piece of broken bottle over a N2,000 debt in Oza, Edo State.
The victim, Frederick Eze, was stabbed by Oruma following a fight that broke out when he confronted him for refusing to pay his debt.
